Use LINCC (online catalog) to locate books at PJC and other Florida community colleges.  Use Subject begins with, and under Browse Organized Lists and enter the author’s last name, first name. Alternately, search for critical works about specific genres of fiction such as ghost stories, horror tales, detective and mystery stories, fantasy fiction, science fiction, spy stories, folk literature, etc., with the subheading History and criticism, as Ghost stories—History and criticism

RESERVE BOOKS

The Reserve Desk has a selection of books of literary criticism about individual authors. Inquire there for books about your author. These books may be used in the LRC for a two-hour period.

ELECTRONIC RESOURCES

To access the following databases, click on the Electronic Resources link at the top of the LRC home page <lrc.pjc.edu>.  Login is automatic from the LRC computers.  From remote computers it is necessary to log in by: 1) selecting Pensacola Junior College from the drop down menu; 2) typing the 14-digit PJC photo ID number in the Borrower ID box; 3) typing the last four digits of your Social Security number into the PIN box.  Once logged in, click on the database of your choice.

Literature Resource Center
Provides biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers. Contains in-depth coverage of the 2,500 most-studied authors. Updated material added continuously.

Academic Search Premier
Offers full-text articles from over 4,000 scholarly and academic journals, and abstracting and indexing from over 7,000 journals.  To limit to scholarly or peer-reviewed journals, click the appropriate box.
