A compilation of international culinary terms, recipes, illustrations, biographies. Includes recipe index.

Entries include food descriptions, terms, history, methods of preparation. Bibliography and index.

The Cambridge World History of Food
This extensive two-volume set encapsulates much of what is known about food and nutrition from prehistory to the present. Chapters address nutritional aspects of groups of foods, worldwide culinary history, and nutritional deficiencies. Each essay is accompanied by bibliographical references.

Worldmark Encyclopedia of Cultures and Daily Life
A four-volume compilation of cultural descriptions grouped by geographical area: Volume I-Africa; Volume II-Americas; Volume III-Asia and Oceania; Volume IV-Europe. Each entry includes a Food heading, which briefly describes favorite menu items, meal times, and cultural customs surrounding food. A master Country Index is included at the front of each volume.

Indexes and abstracts 3,000 journals and magazines, and provides full text access to over 1,200 of these. Tip sheet available in Reference and online.

PA Research II - Periodicals
Indexes and abstracts approximately 2,000 journals and magazines and provides full-text access for more than half of these. Covers 1986 to the present. Access PA Research II from the LRC homepage. To restrict your search to peer-reviewed journals, click on the box Show peer reviewed articles from the Basic, Advanced or Guided search screen. Guided search allows the most options.
