Barron’s National Business and Financial Weekly

Chiefly devoted to financial and economic statistics for commodities, all major stock exchanges, and money markets, but also provides stories about current business, economic, and political trends as well as reports on companies and people in the news. The Economist

Financial Times

This leading international English-language business newspaper provides comprehensive coverage for business and international news. Annually provides more than 200 surveys of countries, regions, business management, personal finance, information technology, and other topics. Indexed with full text in Custom Newspapers. Forbes

Focuses on large corporations and the capital economy. Analyzes economic trends and provides investment advice. Special issues profile the richest individuals in America and survey the executive compensation of CEOs. Indexed with full text in Business Source Elite and PA Research II.

Fortune

The emphasis here is on general concepts and issues related to management, personal finance, digital technology, industry and the economy. Special issues in April and May rank the major corporations in America. Indexed with full text in Business Source Elite and PA Research II.

Harvard Business Review

Provides scholarly perspectives on human resources management, manufacturing, strategic planning, globalization of markets, competitiveness, and related general business interests. Indexed with full text in Business Source Elite. Indexed in PA Research II; no full text.

Inc.

Provides timely information on all aspects of management of small to medium-sized businesses. Covers new technologies, economic trends, consumer preferences, marketing, sales, management and other topics that influence small business. Wall Street Journal

Originally a financial newspaper, and still the nation’s primary source for daily stock listings, bond ratings, currency exchange rates, and other financial data. Though its news coverage has increased, most articles have a business or financial slant. Indexed in Business Source Elite and in PA Research II; full text not available. PA Research II Periodicals & Newspapers (ProQuest)

Indexes articles from over 2,000 magazines and journals and provides full-text/full-image articles from many of these periodicals. Coverage is from 1986 to the present. Indexes articles from the following four newspapers: New York Times, USA Today, Barron’s, and Wall Street Journal.
Do not need to use PJC photo ID number when accessing from PJC campus computers.

Business Source Elite (EBSCOhost)

Provides full-text articles from approximately 1,060 journals covering business, management, economics, banking, finance, accounting, and more. In addition to the full-text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for another 1,590 journals including hundreds of scholarly, peer-reviewed journals. Full-text backfiles go back to January 1990, while indexing and abstracting go back to January 1984. If an article is not available full-text in the database or in the LRC, students may use the database’s Interlibrary Loan option to request a copy of the article.

Custom Newspapers (InfoTrac/GaleNet)

Offers full-text articles from more than 100 regional, national, and international newspapers. Coverage varies, but goes back to 1996 for some titles.
